Voicen Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Voicen handles voice notes, transcripts, third-party providers, and provider credentials. Voicen is a free iOS voice notes app with no account system and no advertising.

1. What we do not collect

The Voicen developer does not collect, host, own, or process your recorded audio, raw transcripts, polished notes, note titles, or provider credentials.

Voicen does not provide an account system, does not require sign-in, and does not upload your notes to a developer server.

2. Data stored on your device

Audio files, note JSON, raw transcripts, and polished text are stored locally on your device.

Third-party API keys, access tokens, and similar secrets are stored in the iOS Keychain on the current device. Non-secret settings, such as enabled state, model, language, and Base URL, stay in normal settings storage.

3. Apple Speech

Apple Speech is Voicen's default transcription path. It is provided by iOS, and its processing is governed by Apple's system services and privacy policies.

The Voicen developer does not receive audio or transcript data from Apple Speech processing.

4. Third-party ASR or LLM services you enable

Doubao, Qwen, and OpenAI-compatible LLM providers are off by default. Voicen sends requests to these providers only after you enable them and configure your credentials.

When cloud ASR is enabled, recorded audio is sent to your selected provider for transcription. When LLM polish is enabled, transcript text is sent to your selected model provider to generate the polished note.

How those third-party services handle data depends on your agreement with the relevant provider and that provider's privacy policy.

5. Data retention, deletion, and withdrawing consent

The Voicen developer does not store your recorded audio, transcripts, polished notes, or provider credentials on developer-operated servers, so there are no hosted developer copies to delete.

You can delete notes in the app to remove the note text and the corresponding recorded audio file stored on your device. You can also clear or replace third-party provider credentials in Settings.

After you turn off a third-party ASR or LLM provider, Voicen will not continue sending new recorded audio or transcript text to that provider. Data already sent to a third-party provider is retained or deleted according to your agreement with that provider and that provider's privacy policy.

6. Minors and children

Voicen is a general-purpose productivity app. It is not designed specifically for children and is not submitted as an App Store Kids Category app.

Voicen does not ask users to provide a name, birthdate, email address, location, or other identity information. Please do not include personal information in voice notes that you should not store or send to third-party providers.

7. Analytics, ads, and crash reporting

Voicen does not include analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or third-party crash reporting SDKs.

Apple may provide basic platform diagnostics through App Store and developer tools, but Voicen does not add its own telemetry pipeline.
